St. Paul’s is a vibrant and growing church, and the spiritual home to an inclusive and active congregation. Since 1855, St. Paul’s has served the Benicia community through worship, education, outreach, and Christian fellowship.
We worship in the midst of history—but are not its captive. We’re always finding new ways to embrace our ancient mission to love all people and creation. Our roots in the past and our commitment to the present has made us who we are: an historic church for the modern soul.
We rejoice in all those who come to St. Paul’s for prayer, spiritual growth, and service, whether as visitors, friends, or members.
We believe in striving to live the message of Jesus Christ every day. At St. Paul’s, we walk the way of love together.
At any point in a person’s spiritual journey, there are opportunities to learn, grow, and strengthen one’s faith at St. Paul’s.

Worship is led by our clergy and lay leaders, including our verger, music director and choir.

Engage in meaningful dialogues about faith, life, and community
Outreach is the work we do that stretches outside our walls and into a world of need.
We have a weekly community meal, a lay ministry, an usher ministry, an altar and flower guild, a back-to-school backpack drive, Christmas gifts drive, 5th Sunday Food Drive, the Peddlers’ Fair, and Sierra Service Project. Take a look and see where you feel your gifts and interests might be put to use! You don’t need to wait to be asked to help out! Please step out in faith and volunteer!
